PAKĖVIS MANOR

Manors

Pakėvis manor has been known since the 17th century. In 1685 it is mentioned in the acts of Beržėnai parish. It is alsio known as writer and ethnographer Liudvikas Adomas Jucevičius (1813–1846) homeland. Writer and ethnographer was born in this manor. During the Soviet years, the manor buildings were used for the purposes of the collective farm, and a school operated in the palace.

The territory of the manor covers an area of about 40 ha. Its buildings - the central palace, the barn, the farmhouse and the stable - were erected here around 1900.
