Pagryžuvys mound with a settlement (also called Calvin hill, Castle hill) is located on a promontory on the left bank of Gryžuva river. It is surrounded by the Gryžuva River and its valley to the north, northwest and east. Adjacent heights reach from the south. The slopes are steep, 12-13 m high. The site is irregularly oval, elongated in a north-south direction, 11 m wide and 18 m long (round). The eastern part of the site and the northern slope are washed by Gryžuva. The mound is overgrown with deciduous trees, the undergrowth has been cut down, the site is soiled. At the southwestern foot of the mound there is a footing settlement on an area of 1 ha.
