Vaiguva Church has been mentioned since 1719. In 1776 a parish was established. 1803–1804 built a new, two-tower St. Church of the title of John the Baptist with a belfry on pillars. Its construction was supported by Samogitian Bishop Steponas Jonas Giedraitis. To this day, the original belfry built by the folk master M. Butvila has survived.
Church of folk architectural forms, rectangular plan, with a tower. There are 3 altars. Cemetery fence stone masonry. It has a wooden belfry and a chapel pillar. The cemetery gate - three arches, with openwork walls between the pillars.
