Until the 19’th century, there was a Carmelite monastery church in Kolainiai, later it was transformed into the Church of the Conversion of the Lord. 1873 The parish of the Smolenskaya icon of the Mother of God of Kolainiai was founded in However, in 1922 church and 44 hectares of land returned to Catholics, the church was reconstructed into a church (Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Kolainiai, Queen of Mount Carmel). In 1940, the church was consecrated, installed in a wooden residential house.
