CHAPEL-MAUSOLEUM OF THE SAVIOR OF CHRIST IN TYTUVĖNAI

History

The chapel was built in 1853 for Celina, the wife of Hieronimas Przeciszewski, who died under his care. The walls, windows and cornices of the chapel are decorated. Windows and doors - Gothic style. The chapel was surrounded by an original tiled fence. It is believed that the author of the chapel project was Professor Fulgenas Rimgaila of the Paris Academy of Arts. The managers of Tytuvėnai and Pagryžuvis manors and their relatives are buried in the basement of the chapel.
